Hi all, just a quick note to let you know about the biggest event on the North Qld 4WD scene this year, the Opposite Lock Mackay Off-Road Challenge, being held at a private property at Cathu State Forest, about 45 min north of Mackay. This event is going to huge, now being covered by 2 of Australia’s biggest 4WD magazines, 4WD Action & Dirt Comp Magazine.
One of the main reasons for holding this event is to raise much needed funds for the hard working guy’s & girls of the SES that volunteer there time & efforts to help us all out in our times of need. The past 12 months or so have been a very tough period for the SES, from the floods this time last year, though to almost the thing over the past month or so. It’s time helped these guy’s out.
Nominations are being taken now, & will end Mach 28th. There are limited places for competitors, so first in, first served.
Spectators are very welcome, & encouraged to come, with excellent viewing areas to see all the action. The Mackay Scout Assoc. will be putting on food all weekend, as well as sponsors displays, door prizes and give a ways all weekend.
