Used to use it when at the drags to stop rubber sticking to the guards.

Use with caution, it will cause havoc if you need any panel repairs and painting in the future. Makes it very hard for paint to stick.

I use the cheap cans of spray on tyre shine to keep my plastic guards looking new. Have been using it for over two years now. Works great.

Don't use silicon spray, it will eventually dry out the plastic and as mentioned, it doesn't do wonders for your paint.

Use 303 AEROSPACE PROTECTANT on them as well as your tyres. It can also be used on your dash as well.

I am also into the Cheap Tyreshine on the guards
It works great, keeps them looking new for ~2-3 months per application.

Hopefully longer the Jeep now gets parked in a garage

I have used 303 AEROSPACE PROTECTANT for years. The best retail stuff I have found. Also good for ute covers as well.

It's also fantastic on soft tops.
