LED heatsink mounting

switching to LEDs all around and the indicators have that thing to up the load, defeats the efficiency but oh well, never liked globes. so this mounts to metal but how am I going to do this? drill a couple holes? any good spots? should I be using a thermal compound between the metals? I'm not overly thrilled about drilling for these little buggers is there some other way I can do this?
