I wonder how many Americans would buy a Chinese product that itself is an "American Icon"? lol. I don't know what to say... Paradox, Karma, sarcasm? Oh America... never seize to amaze me.

Agree to disagree. FCA is by far the worst of all brands I've owned when it comes to after sales support, and my Jeep had more issues in its first two years than the 5 vehicles I owned in the previous 16 years combined.

That is one persons experience, my experience has been different, there are ford owners with similar experiences to yours, etc. The Choice survey found rate of problems in jeeps was similar to other makes, although it was a small sample size.

I am a first time Jeep owner (still waiting since August 18th for customs to release my Jeep). I just feel uncomfortable about Jeep being purchased by the worlds largest throe away manufacturing country.

I think this is the future for the car industry, they are getting cheaper, more electronics and more consumable. They are becoming mobile phones on wheels.

FCA and VW by far are the worst for customer support and trying to dodge their warranty obligations, Ford and Holden are also bad but finally the ACC has taken a stick to them. And i reckon FCA and VW will be next for the big stick.

Hyundai, KiA, Toyota, Mitsubishi, Nissan are much better at customer support and warranty obligations, and quite frankly they build better more reliable cars, which don't have to have a belatedly added bolt-on a dodgy warranty extension for their vehicles like jeep has recently, which is highly conditional on them doing the servicing and only on very recently purchased cars.

For example Hyundai gives 5years without an obligation to come to them for servicing and KIA has been giving 7years warranty for years.
Speak to most Hyundai, Kia, Toyota owners and they are very happy with the reliability and durability of their cars, that don't need to be recalled all the time and don't do mysterious faults either.

The buying public/punters are not all mugs and they vote with their feet, why do you think Jeep sales have been in free-fall for the last couple of years? Its not because they are a great car with good honest support.
