Slowly down on the ciggies
So has anyone tried to quit or cut down on the ciggies using a vapor? Just picked myself up one and now on day two of usage. Halved my ciggie intake, still have the habit cravings but motoring along ok.

I bought me an Ecigarette and found it most helpful until I got to work and found out they are not allowed onsite.. so back to the paper burners I went.

What exactly is the law, regarding these e-cigarettes?
Around here, there is two feral wankers, who insist on smoking, or vaping if you prefer, in the shopping center. INSIDE.
Isn't smoking, smoking?

Well yes and no, vaping is a vapor, not a smoke, it is made buy super heating the oil. For example, when I vape 2-3 times in succession, my moustache will be wet from the smoke (vapor) passing by it.
Yes these people are feral doing it, it's not necessarily against the law but morally they shouldn't, whereas me owning this machine and using it where I currently live is 100% illegal, and could face a potential fine and 5 years in jail, not that they have prosocuted anyone yet.
Now why is it illegal here? Because the government has not set up a tax system for it yet, so lets just make it illegal, many Asian countries have followed suit.

Good luck trying to quit, I have watched the wife try many time.
She's doing well at the moment on patches, got a script for them from the doc, heaps cheaper.
Another mate has been using an inhaler and vapour thing for ages and doing well with it. Much better than smoking no matter how long it takes

Yeah I have used the vape for a while. Cut down from a 50g pack of rollies to one or small cigars a week. The vase is legal in QLD I think, just not legal to buy or sell nicotine based. The laws vary from state to state on use and I found a website that covers the laws in each state. Quite interesting actually. Some states it is legal to import the nicotine based, some states it's legal to use it too. Some states it follows the smoking laws and others it doesn't. Stupid.

Years ago I quit for 2 years by giving up cold turkey. It was one of the hardest things I've done. I couldn't sit in a pub or amongst other smokers as the 2nd hand smoke would drive me nuts. I eyes would itch and water something crazy.
The next time I gave up using nicotine patches and never had the same problem. It's been about 14 years now and would never go back to smoking. Though I have to admit there are times especially after a large meal that I'd think that a smoke would be good right now.
It takes a long time to get over the cravings, sometimes years. You just have to not give in to it.
