gidday asp - did you do any thing yet
yes, end up buying Goodyear wrangler sra 235/65/17 at a great price. A more agressive tread than the standard. Fantastic, Im a happy chap (in regards to the tyres). They are very quiet as well, which is good, They go well in the sand and seem to grip very well on-road. They improved the road handling 110%, no more wobbles. but I added new rancho shocks. You need to have them pumped at 40PSI and not the recommended 33. No I need to fix the brake problems and all will be hunky dory. Shame my dealer wont help!!!

When I went to 33" on my last 4WD, I used my GPS to discover my true speed at a speedo- indicated 60, 80, 100 & 110kmh. GPS speed reckoning is pretty good, so I took these figures and remebered them.

With 33's on, I had to do an indicated 93kmh to stay legal at a true 100.

Easy! (If you have access to a GPS unit).

Cheers
Chris

I usually just sit 10kph below the limit - 100 in 110 zone, 90 in 100 blah blah.

Havent been done for speeding that way yet (touch wood)

Lazy bugger Dave - you should run up the hill and let the better half drive

Mt mee sounds good if we can manage it.

BTW the tyre calculator in here didn't work for my wheel swap on torrie - went from 225/60/14 to 225/50/15 - calculator said new had smaller rolling dia. when in fact it increased by 10mm.
It's just a guide because even when you get identical sizes each brand can differ to the other ie 225/60/14 dunlop can be different to 225/60/14 bridgy etc etc

yes wild't .... we come across it a bit trying to come up with the best tyre packages for our car club races and it's surprising the difference in different brands.
