Default Hydraulic Engine Fan
I have a 9/2002 wj and have just pulled the diagnostic code p1499, which indicates an open circuit to the Hydraulic Fan solonoid. After pricing the part from Jeep ($675 and none in AUS) I did some more reading and apparently there is supposed to be a hydraulic fan relay that I want to test before committing to buying the solonoid.
Unfortunatly I cannot find the relay or even a fuse for the fan circuit. Under the bonnet in the fuse box there is a blank hole for a fan fuse, but that is for the earlier model with the electric fan.
Can anyone help me out with some more knowledge on this problem thankyou.

Try here it may be of help.. http://www.wjjeeps.com/tsb.htm#COOLING and click on TSB 07-005-02 it will bring download a Jeep TSB in PDF form with piccies to show where things are hidden.

From that TSB it looks like solonoid is controlled directly by the PCM.
Try www.rockauto.com for parts.
