The finished product.

Now just to sort out the shocks then start on the front.

Hand Throttle went in today, pretty easy really. Got a couple of friction shifters for $20, so $10 each for me and a mate. a 2.1m cable, some outer cable, a couple of ferrels and a cable adjuster, about anther $25 from the local bike shop.

Fed the outer down inside the gear stick boot and under the centre console. Drilled a hole through the rubber grommet on the passenger side and poked it through, then up and around the engine and into position.

Drilled a hole above and between the throttle and cruise control cable and used a ring terminal to connect by hand throttle cable, too easy.

Found the hand lever was too big to fit around the gear stick, but a piece of rocker cover breather hose from a Patrol was the perfect fit.

Finally got to take the TJ out for a quiet Sunday drive with this mad man

We had a great day and I had a blast coming to grips with the capability of my new to me rig. I can't believe how much easier it is to drive with the hand throttle, compared to last time i took it out. Anyway a couple of poser shots to start off with.

Then things started to hot up a bit

Ah, made it, that was easier than I thought..... oops, where did the ground go?

Winched the front down and pulled it forward about 150mm then drove it out.

Was an awesome track to start coming to grips with this beast, looking forward to future trips.

Looks like a fun day wheeling mate. You getting the itch for a front locker?

It was a great day! I'm starting to become quite fond of this little rig, it's seriously capable. It's already twin locked, not that I've needed them yet.

Whilst waiting for the bit to turn up, I started putting these in.
