Today I decided it was time to do a major shut down on the truck
So off with the front diff to get it sleeved and gusset
Today got the diff out cleaned up and short side sleeve in

Tomorrow will drilled and sleeved the long axel.

I'm not much of a welder so think I might leave this to my mate who is a boiler maker

Finish off with the Tera front brakes new rear rotor(rooted) new head lights

Then off to Brisbane for front locker and nitro axels

Fingers crossed got it in the freezer ATM with lube all over it ha. Every little bit helps. Think these ppm weld on sleeves are a little smaller diameter then the no weld in ones.

See how it goes tomorrow.

he got my camber left & right spot on equal too.
I have seen a video of a guy putting in sleeves, he go the short side in no worries, but he had to bash the shit out of the long side to get it in, obviously tube must have been bent, it should just slip in.

The axle tubes actually distort slightly ( they go oval in spots ) when the mounts are welded on at initial manufacture.

The first Poly sleeves "fitted" to RHD axles actually wouldn't go in, on LHD they were fine, but the different weld pattern on the RHD version required them to be slightly smaller diameter.

Just another example of the learning curve when using parts originally designed for LHD.

Didn't actually DO anything.
but found the RVD entry, so researching

here: http://rvcs-prodweb.dot.gov.au/perl/...2010083735.cmd

Figured that 860mm OD tyres and a 1" spacer lift juuust fits under the NCOP 1905mm total height (stock +50mm combined).

Disclaimer: May have/fit more than 1", but dropping to that will clear any stickers and still be drivable. and not look as funny as a Long-Arm TJ on 28s! (Hi Ken!)
