Default Changing Steering Wheels

Hey all!!

Just wondering if anyone has changed the old steering wheel off the 2007-2010 JK's with the newer one's that come with the 2011+?

I am running an aftermarket head unit with Nav etc. And was wondering if its at all possible to buy a steering wheel (of a wreckage) and install it on my 2007 JK and be abl to use the steering wheel functions?

Any help would be sincerely appreciated!

If you still have original clock spring the wiring wont be there as you had to select which version though I believe now its a one clockspring fits all

Dont know if the computer would recognise it though

Yes its a simple change over and i have done it. You have to buy the air bag also because your 07 steering wheel air bag is not compatabile.

Your clock spring will work just fine.

The only wiring mod you need to do is splice horn wires.

Also dont expect any steering wheel controls to work.

Is it that hard to take a hand off the wheel and press a button less than 30cm away?

Mainly for bluetooth. Try scrolling through the contact book to try find a name and then dialing it....

Also JK07, is there any way that we could get wiring to work? I have an aftermarket head unit?
