Default Steering damper issues

This has been posted before, but I've had a look through the posts and they're a bit out of date now.

Previous owner fit this steering damper but its sitting pretty crooked and there's a huge dent from where its been sitting on the drag link. Bought a new damper but I'm certain its not going to fit without raising the damper bracket mount higher up. Previous posts mentioned blackjack welding was selling brackets, however the links have expired now. Is there anyone else selling a relocation bracket for this?
Any other options?

Thanks for your help!

Heavy duty steering dampers like show in the pic will always have problems with fit on RHD. A stock sized damper has a narrower body and would fit better.

Yes, go the stock narrow one. It will work better - the big fat ones are just for looks.

I had that Rancho damper.
It also had the big groove in it from rubbing.
I swapped it out for a Return To Centre damper. I think it just touches.

I think the best would be a narrow one, or a bracket to lift the left side up a bit. The Tough Dog RTC is a good bit of kit.

Cheers,

Thanks all for your help, for anyone searching this in the future, I managed to fit a lovells rtc damper in there. The angle still sucks and it very lightly touches when turning full lock to the left but it'll do. Heaps better than the old rancho

(For some reason the pic will only load upside down!)

Hey

FYI

I had the same problem with pictures loading upside down from my iPhone?

Then I started using the Tapatalk app, it’s great! No more issues.

Cheers Andrew
