Default Injector replacement

Does anyone know what sort of kilometres you would expect to get out for the injector on 3lt diesel, and possible causes for them to be replaced, i would expect them to last longer than 115k

300-400k shouldn't be an issue as long as you feed them clean fuel....change the fuel filters and drain the water trap every 10-15k.

Sounds more like they found a code and since most can't do anymore than read computer codes replacement is the option they choose, I would go to a Diesel Workshop like Berrima Diesel , Diesel Care, places like that they specialise in diesel and know what they are doing, more than likely find the problem is not as bad as the dealer makes out, in fact I never use dealers for anything due to being overpriced, lack of care and slow for overpriced parts, even when I had a warranty on a vehicle I never went back, has paid off as never had any problems.

I would certainly get another opinion.

The fuel system is made by Bosch so any diesel shop who is a Bosch agent can check the injector correction values with their scan tools to see if the injectors need replacement. The Bosch HP injector pump body has a tell tale fuel leakage hole drilled between the inner & outer drive shaft seals. If the inner seal starts to leak fuel will start leaking out of the tell tale hole to the timing cover on the outside of the engine directly under the HP pump.
Does the oil level remain at a consistent level on the dipstick between oil changes?
Does the EVIC oil life % drop 1% for every 200km travelled?

Default Injector investigations

On YouTube there is a really good vid on checking the Injectors & the wires, modules & other parts in the system, I found it when we were replacing the glow plug module . Son-in-law brought the module &new injector on eBay all genuine Bosch gear. Advice from guys in the know was check everything (even the water in the window washer )
Seriously thought they told me there a better than 50% chance you may have remove the cylinder head to get to the broken injector you just broke. Trying to get it out, the guy in the vid makes it look sooooo easy
