so i had a blown hose coming out of the resonator and the resonator was also busted so finally bit the bullet and did what i should have done 150,000km and bought the murchison resonator. Solidly made but if i was to complain about anything it would be the chief like finish and could have been finished a little better but in terms of function well damn . turbo lag is almost non existent and car is hella punchy again.

pos plastic resonator is so restricitve and flimsy now i have it out

Just so bluddy expensive, my home made job works well and Im sure things run better.... I would ditch those narrow clamps and use some wider T bolt jobs give far better holding, surprisingly I found mine at a rural Mitre 10 in the irrigation pump section so far better priced than some auto shop...

Those clamps will hold fine. They have held for 180K and will hold for another 180K .

Swapped out the OEM reverse bulbs for LED. Very happy with the outcome, well worth the $25 and 15-minute investment. (and yes I know my garage floor is pretty ordinary - past renters were not the best)

Took the bus for a 'maintenence run' today...been toddlin round my tiny town for a month or so and we know how much these 'new age' engines n exhausts hate that.....eco gauge read 12.5lt/100 before leaving town n 9.5lt/100 when returning....sounded like a '58 Massey Ferguson when I started it and like a very content kitten when I idled down at the end of the run....batteries charged, ran the a/c to 'lube' the seals....gave it a stop to w.o.t. run and still goes 'rather well'...2k from a full service....big one this time....all oils, filters and the tranny will be replaced when Im in the 'big smoke'...45k since purchase and Im a happy chappy....175k will be on clock when service is done....cant find a reason to look at another option...and...if I did Im not sure I'd find something as pleasurable to drive and own.....'Its a Jeep thing' has more meanings then our sly smiles
