One of my headlights was badly corroded from a cracked lens
With the cost of genuine over $1100 I decided try splurge out on a new set direct from USA.
No thanks to globalism in this case, the lighting and wiring were different. Out with the side cutters and soldering iron.
Firstly the indicators were also park lights. Where as we can only have clear lights facing forward.
Next high beam was low beam and finally different globes were required.

Wired up and mounted they look a lot different to genuine


Changed ARB park/turn into simply park


I've also used the Narva +plus bulbs for increased output
Hopefully avoiding giant grasshoppers now

Will be interested to know how they focus on the road as they are probably designed for LHD vehicles.

I do like the blacked out look.

Do you think the aftermarket glass (Perspex) would transfer to an original housing?

Adjusted them down a tad and and oncoming drivers are happy
They appear to be equally spread, so no difference in pattern
The casings appear to be identical to the original ones

Cleaned out the intercooler whilst there too
