I have already made more changes...

The handles on the Battery Box are a bit inadequate - I can't imagine picking up a 120 Ah AGM with them! - so I cut up some conduit and dug out some rope to "improve" them:

The Compressor setup needed a bit of tidying up, so I got some spade bits and made a hole in the hose end to feed the hose out of:

I also used a spade bit to gouge a notch for the cable. If I had thought about it earlier I would have simply drilled a hole in the top of the compressor box, but it was too late. Some hot glue holds it in until I find a piece of metal to cover the opening:

By doing these changes, the cable and hose are better protected.

Cheers

You've got me thinking now, so I need your thoughts on a couple of things, any reason why I couldn't run an Anderson with 6B&S from the jumper points under the bonnet to the bull bar for plugging in stuff ?????

In fact what about run a 8B&S from there to the tow hitch for van fridge 12v ????? seems an easier solution than from inside to outside, I hate running stuff thru firewalls and floors.
Appropriate fuse/ breakers of course.

I hope you aware my shed is a mess as I delve into the Stash of Good Stuff.....your thread has got me started, new vehicle mods tend to cause that sort of thing.

Yep, that will work!

I have run a 6B&S cable from the jumper terminals to the back bumper with an Anderson plug for the camper. I have a 60Amp Megafuse in the positive line. If you look closely, there is a channel that drops down under the car so you can just take it from the bottom end and run it to the back to the rear bumper.

It would be easy run one to the bull bar. This type Anderson plug at least has some protection:

Yep was hoping it would be good, never know if stupid ECM or whatever is going to have a spaz. I have found that an Anderson just left open is far more reliable than boxing them in, cheaper as well...... it makes things easy picking someones brain than doing the trial and error method....... while I may be on top of WG's the WK2 is another world.

Numb Thumbs, how is your battery and compressor box fixed???- I can see it is likely the battery box is held by the red strap....
My battery box is mounted on the ply base of my drop in module (that also holds the fridge slide and drawers etc).
I used a foot on one side of the box that engages under a flat stirrup on the ply, and on the other side, an over centre catch from the box to the ply base. Very secure, can't move in any direction.
It takes as long as it does to undo the catch and move the box 20mm sideways out of the stirrup, to release the box for lift out.

Both are held by 25mm straps which are attached to the child seat fixtures.

I have a fake floor in light weight ply with a fridge slide attached, but it weighs a lot so I don't use it any more. I might try unbolting the fridge slide and coming up with a way to attach the box and compressor to it.

Cheers
