nice work. we have a couple of these at school and we use it for a fair amount. but we had to make out own hinges and stuff lol our school takes the cheap option.. and thats to make everything itself haha.

ps...my $45 brake press ended up costing just under $52 (angle iron, hinges, bolts)...already had the hd workbench and 2 vices

Nice comment? lol why what were u expecting people to start bagging you for making your own stuff which will probably break or sumthing?
im 18 and want to do fabrication.. i relly enjoy welding at school and skip lessons so that i can go to the tech centre and do welding for stuff that needs to be done.
i build an offroad Go Kart, a 8x5 trailer with 2 bbq's on either side which slide out and eski's upfront and such i just like that. alot of the stuff in our centre is actual bought machines but simple things like this which is just some angle and hinges is a very simple but good tool.
one thing i might be able to sugest it instead of using all the pressure on that one arm get another one on there and have a couple kg weight on the end of it. this will help fold the metal with the weight behind it. if you understand me.

to what i was referring
already tested the machine on the 2.1mm alum i made this for and its light enough material that the single arm works fine...however i am going to "beef" it up later when i do my camping trailer...a second arm will be added...and the weights is an excellent idea - didnt think of that...thanks mate!

haha ok,, np about the weight idea. we have used it for 2mm sheet steel and we barley had to use any presure at all the weight did all the work we just had to stop it incase it went past 90 degrees hehe.
