Default Oil Catch Can

Thinking of putting an Oil Catch Can on my CRD but surprised to find that many have a filter on top. Does that not kill the vacuum that makes the Exhaust Gas Recirculation System work?
I was looking at something like this:

I would only use a Provent on Diesel engine. Buy an original one. Don’t buy a knock off. You get what you pay for in this instance.

hi

Isuzu actually make one, but it is not fitted to the utes but some model truck.
Do not know the model diesel, but it is only fitted in a couple of markets, Australia is one.

The filter is small but it is half price of the ryco filter. I bought a couple of cans all plastic not Cheap and made in japan. If you need the number on the box I can get it as the one shown on youtube has been superseded.
If you run the number on the internet you will get a geniune Chinese one sold in the US.
You have to go to a dealer to get sense, if the person behind the counter is a professional.

I need one for a JAG that has done over 350,000 ks on lpg. A little oil in the inlet track, apparently no real breather setup subject to a technical bulletin.
Easier to fit catch- can. The other will go on a hemi with those low tension rings when I finish the Jeep. At least it starts with a J.
If you need the numbers give a note as I still have the boxes with the new numbers.
Peter
