Yep, hacked the loom and soldered the new plugs to it, the old stereo wont be going back in so it didn't really bother me. The new uses an ISO standard so hopefully that is a comon standard in new stereos now.

looks good steve. So what can you plug into the usb, can you only use usb memory sticks or can you set up a hdd?
Also does it have rca out for amp and sub?

You can plug in anything but it only reads up to 1GB, I tried my PDA, it would slowly charge it but couldn't read the directory structure. I'll try an 80GB USB drive tonight and see what it does.

Yep it has RCA out for amp or sub.

Default Removing Panel

Steve,

Is there any special technique/trick in removing the centre console to get access to the stereo?

I don't want to break any plastic clips...

I note in your picture that there are 4 clips. Were there anymore at the top or bottom?

If its an auto, move the shifter into first, fingers around the bottom of the face plate and pull towards you.

heres my recent install...off ebay (of course)...$200 for the amp and head unit with SD/USB/Remote and preouts
