A mate has standard rubber in his WG, i have poly in my WG, if its pushed a bit his wonders all over the road(just like mine used to). His is smoother and quieter than mine on the same rough roads. Mine holds the black top like a car and doesnt wander at all when pushed hard. Off road mine is great, really good articulation and the polys are lasting really well, 40K+ Km now and as good as new. Sometimes they squeak after lots of dusty tracks and i go through a deep hole/washout etc.So in my book if you like good handling on and off road and you dont mine the odd squeak, and you dont want to change bushes every few thousand km, go for poly. If on the other hand quiet and smooth is the only thing you are after, go for rubber. The cost difference isnt much for a bush change out between rubber and poly, but if you go rubber you may as well save some postage and get a couple of sets, you will need them.
