Can't speak highly enough of the iDrive unit. The diesel's acceleration was always great but it has transformed the car, bit like having launch control. Depending on the setting you choose it is frighteningly quick. I use a lower setting for towing to go a bit easier on the the tranny. Took 10 mins to install.

I got the Hikeit one a few weeks ago, only 180 bucks. Transforms the diesel, I had no issues before, however now it's like a rocket. If I put it on Sport 9 it's like a nervous greyhound. Sport 3 or 5 seems like a good compromise, even a weekend on the tracks was good with Sport 3.

Thanks SouthernComfort..Good to know..iDrive is one I was considering..Hadn't heard of the Hikeit but thanks Grippy.
Also was considering the 9 mode Windbooster Throttle Controller for Jeep Grand Cherokee which is unfortunately sold out which probably means a popular choice @ $199

Get the HikeIt because you can immobilise the accelerator using the pass code unit.

Yep, this is like an extra security feature of it, or pop it on Eco 1 for when the Mrs drives is so it's slow as shit

iDrive has settings from 0 to 9. Plus economy mode. If you want if OFF altogether just select 0. Most of the time I use setting 5 in Ultimate mode. The high settings are a bit scary, it becomes a weapon. Plenty available around the $219 mark at the moment.
