Default 265/75/16's on standard rims

Hi peeps.
I have a Stu 2.5 inch lift with JBA upper arms and plan to fit 15mm spacers in the rear and 10mm clevis spacers in the front.I have been running 245/75/16's for a couple of years now.I want to up the tryes to 265/75/16's on the standard 5 spoke alloy rims.If anyone has this tyre and wheel combo with the JBA arms I would like to know how they go for room between the tyre on the inside and the JBA arms.I only have about 12mm of room with the 245's and have concerns they might rub with any bigger rubber.I will get offset wheels if I need to but would like to keep the standard rims which are easier to replace when travelling if any get damaged off road. Also anyone with 265/75/16's if you can let me know if bashing in the pich weld is all that is needed for clearance, especially with offroad flex.I also do plan to re gear if I go up in size.Cheers Shane

Default 265/75/16's on standard rims

So you going 31.6 inch. Not sure you'll get away with that without doing your pinch welds. I run 30.6" on Stu's std 2.5 (265/60 x 1 and have no issue off Road at all even with a tonne of flex. I ran the JBA arms and have a pretty good space between the tyre and arm. The tyre size calc I used makes you width about the same as mine so it should be ok. I suggest you go on to "It's KK Thing" on face book and ask you question but use the imperial sizes as they are mostly yanks. Hundreds of them use difffernt tyre combos. Someone will have done it.

Hey mate, i’m on 265/75/16s with JBA UCAs and only have slight rub at full flex while wheel is turned, i am very close to the UCA but not touching and have been like this for a while with no dramas. No pinch weld issues either. I’ve got the ‘11 CRD with a tune and so still plenty of torque.

Thanks man,are your aftermarket wheels the same offset ? I am pretty keen to try out some 265/75/16's.I do need to find out if my diffs can take the lower gear ratio's first though as Stu has told me that there are 2 diff types and only one of them can be modified.
