Default Bonnet strut

Just asking the question in regards to the gas strut for holding the bonnet open on a WK2 JGC, does anyone know if it is inter changeable with any other vehicle ?

They usually have a rating. Did you know Bunnings sells struts, you just never know. They are in their hardware aisles, nuts, bolts, locks etc.

My go to shop for struts is The Gas Strut Guys , https://www.gasstrutguys.com.au/

I have used them for a decade or so,caravan and vehicle struts, decent price, have never crapped out, fast postage and they damn well fit.

Heres the listing: https://www.gasstrutguys.com.au/new-...kee-wk2-bonnet

The lid isn't heavy so no need for any kind of HD strut. I'd go for one that specifies the GC bonnet though, to be sure it's the right dimensions. I did this with my old Territory tailgate, cheapies off eBay and totally effective. GC bonnet struts are listed on eBay from about $25 incl. postage.

Gas strut guys link has them for $29, free postage and you can actually talk to them , way better than Ebay.
