Time to invest in a snorkel, can do a motor in water not as deep as that. i paid the price a few years ago.

if not a snorkel, at least a wading sheet - for a few bucks at Supercheap.

There are plenty of stories of engines taking in water at Dargo, and the rivers can rise very quickly too.

Don't push your luck for the sake of a few bucks!!

Instead of using a snorkel, I used a ducted hose from the air cleaner through to the back of the engine bay. I had no trouble all weekend with it.

Nah, its the Crooked River Track, with it's 20 or so river crossings.
