Using HP Tuners, you select the type of fan. My hemi has the PWM linear.
Then adjust the required high, low temps, BUT, then there is a PWM desired ECT (engine control temp) setting. Change there to set the fan activation temp.
Yes fan must always spin slowly.
Make sure the power steer fluid is correct hydraulic type and clean.

Who has done the manual switch mod for the hydraulic fan.
Has anyone who has done it have you had any problems with blowing the front control module. Or any other electronic components.
Why I am asking as a jeep specialist told me to take it off as I would blow something up or short something.
Just wanted to double check again

You get a code saying circuit low but that's it. I have never had a problem with my FCM and I can't see how it could blow it given that the FCM takes it to ground anyway.
If you are still concerned you can always add a second relay that makes the wire to the FCM go open circuit, then the mod has no direct connection to the FCM.

Thanks Clarky, is they away you could control the speed of the fan when you ground it in some way.
So when you do flick the switch it's not running 100% all the time

A 2 wire light dimmer switch placed between the override switch and the ground may work to vary the speed but I haven't tried that. https://www.golights.com.au/universa...caAg5sEALw_wcB
