Default xj drivers seat

advice please
a few years ago I had this problem 94 xj sport drivers seat was getting soft
added some extra sponge under the cover
time to do it again (truck still runs well)
thinking might be easier to get a good replacement if possible
anyone here wrecking/selling one
apparently changing the base with a passenger base is better as they are used less
cheers Brian

I've got some seats out of a '98 going cheap. I don't know if they fit, yours are leather/vinyl aren't they.

I have a 95 Sport, and the problem I had was that the vinyl trimming on the outward side of the actual seat started splitting from heat/age wear and tear.

I was in two minds over what to do and I thought about buying a wrecked part, or even going aftermarket. I had an auto-trimmer in Sydney re-stuff the original seat, and replace the vinyl edge and side. The result is like what you see on resto shows on TV. I feel like doing that to all the seats even though they are in excellent condition.

I have an preupdate XJ and a new JKU. Without question, I feel as if I can survive 12 hours of continuous driving in the XJ which is like sitting on a comfy sofa.

Is it just me?
