Bought mine from Dave at Wooders Garage

the front 'recovery' point is suspect, wouldnt use it. The stock rear recovery point is fine to use as they actually put that on the correct angle and is mounted off the chassis.
As for using the hitch pin for recovery this is usually fine. Definately on hayman reese hitch it is fine and would assume a mopar would be fine as well but you can ask to make sure it is rated
also check out the sticky on front bars up top and have a look at some of the options

I agree, I use the Haymen Reece hitch and its fine, I only use the front recovery point if i'm in a pickle... if it neets a good hard snatch, I go through the chassis... last thing you want to do is kill someone with a flying mopar hook!

The pin is fine though... its rated enough!

For light 'snatching' the tow point should be fine, but if your really stuck, I would be dubious (before I get flamed - I do use the tow pin to recover from its not 'idea', but its better than a tow point!).

As for recovery points, the rear is easy - the chassis bars are exposed.

The front isnt too hard, remove the dust pan under the bumper, you will see the chassis rails. Install, then get a dremil or similar to cut holes in the dust pan to re install. (or you could just leave it off! Again, not idea, its there not only to stop crap getting into the engine bay, but helps with cooling the engine - tho there are plenty of people on these boards with ARB/TJM etc bars without a front pan who havent reported issues.)

So no - you dont have to cut up your front bars to get recovery points!

Having seen the pin in tow receivers bend before and how near impossible they are to remove - I wouldn't use a pin alone - but a pin though a proper shackle/hook in the receiver. Remember a lot of those pins are not rated and when they are in a sheer position (ie with a tow/shackle/hook hitch) they are MUCH less likely to fail.
