Default New gobi bars and other work done

Did some work over the last couple of weeks...
- New front and rear gobi support bar's. These seem to be stronger, which gives less movement in the rack. And it looks like there is less noise coming from the new style frontbar/wind deflector.
- Moved Radio antenna to the roof, way better reception
- Will add sandflag mounting to other side of rack.
- Will add some rear flood lights in the next weeks
- Cleaned the area's behind the tail lights, and partly filled them with self expanding foam. Should stay clean now...
- 'upgraded' headlights to the Britax ones. Still need to fully adjust them (lazy in the evenings) and going to add some other bulbs, but way better projection of the light.
- Added spacer to front-driver spring. She sits nice and evenly now.
- Added 2nd battery monitor
- Build a rear storage area, including some led light strips to the back window, with a switch in the plastic of the wiper. (one of the best mod's done in times!) Fridge moved to folded down passenger side rear-seat.
- Gave her a full lube and filter service.
- Still to arrive some XRC rock sliders.
- Looking for a lightweight rooftop tent

With thanks to DBOR and Gobi for the excellent service on the Gobi stuff.

Looking great, any pics on the storage area and fridge setup?

Matt.

I will be doing PPM/Synergy balljoints this week too, but will need to carry over the tie rod as I am still running 5" backspace - bugger!

Don't know the brand, it's a 10mm spacer, was having other stuff done and whilst they were under the Jeep the opportunity to do work under the bonnet presented itself.

Chris from Opposite Lock was doing the work and had 1 spacer left and 1 exhaust left and after driving his 4 door to get some lunch I thought I can do this... LOL...

Never thought it would make a diff... But just that little bit more air in the chamber combined with the exhaust getting the air out a bit quicker has made a bigger dif than I had imagined.

It’s worked out great... Just revs so much easier now and sounds heaps better...

Did you get the ball joints from DBOR and just get Opposite Lock to fit them?
Was wondering who I could get to fit them if I got some.

Ball joints from DBOR and had Opposite Lock fit them... they were a bugger to fit and took ages, first to get the old ones out & then to get the new ones in, which were very (I said Very ) tight. Measured diameter and the ball joints were 0.2 mil bigger... Bugger...

if the sliders you have on now are installed properly (which im going to say they are) then you wont be able to change them out unless you get a rocker panel protection sheet to cover the 20 holes drilled into your jeeps rockers mate
