Hi mudyJK
thats a great looking setup love the LED light bar , can you tell me have you wired it into your on road lights and are the LED bars legal for on road or are they just for off road ?

The light bar them selves are legal just like spot lights, the problem is the mounted height, in WA any lights installed about 1400mm needs to be covered when on road.... I will need to look at how to make a cover next

I wonder how that is assessed in QLD? We can have them above the roof no problem, but we cant run more than 3 pairs of lights and they must be in pairs - as in cant run 3 across or just a single etc. So if you count it as one, its not legal, but to count the leds individually its now more than 6

Agree with Lucafer - pics with it running

I rang the local cop shop and was put through to the head highway cop asking this question when i installed my 50 inch above the windscreen and was told as long as it isnt wired into my headlights it is classed as a work light and totally legal, have had it on for about 18 mths and traveled up and down east coast numerous times, Mel Syd bris and back and have never been pulled over, i also do not run a cover on it, ive even had coppers driving along side of me looking at it and turned it on for them and they just smile and say holy shit!!
