Default Reverse camera clarity.

I hit reverse and screen looks nice and clear but it soon loses clarity and becomes very white or bright.
I dont remember this prior to last ucconect update, (17.43.1.)
Have tried basic reset but no change.
Thinking of trying full factory reset but a bit unsure.
Have accessed the menu but not sure what the reset will alter.
Cheers

I was hoping that someone else would post with more solid details... I'm sure that this problem was addressed in a Uconnect update. I never experienced it, so it's only a faint recollection. Maybe search using your description, along with "washed out" and similar.

A full reset will fix the problem... at least for a duration. Radio, Bluetooth and convenience settings are lost.

Cheers, Steve

Thanks Steve.
Which reset to use.?
1. Uconnect settings reset.
2, Engineering menu thru a,c temp buttons.

Do you mean all personal selections .eg ,engine on off, lights, suspension etc.revert to factory.
Thanks again.

Try them in the order you list if you like, but it's Engineering Reset which will definitely fix the problem... at least for now. If it returns you will need to look at the firmware version you have loaded.

An Engineering Reset will not affect engine or suspension. It will return all user settings to default and wipe radio presets and Bluetooth pairings. You may like to take photos of every settings page to quickly get things back to how you like with regards to lighting, entry, locking, etc, blah and so on.

Cheers, Steve

I know this doesn't help Nomads, but letting in the fuzzy logic gremlins is the reason I hate (and rarely allow) software updates. Applies to many things, I've had more probs with computers after update versions. I may be a bit of a cave man, but if it ain't broke....

Southern Comfort, I agree.
Thats exactly why I posted this and made the call to reset the system.
The reset has fixed the reverse cameras clarity and I think also the issue my equalizer controls had.
I swear the sound system now sounds much boomier and over powered in the lows, and have changed my settings to compensate.
One of the gremlins exposed after the reset, more to be found no doubt.
Still the great car it always is.
Cheers
