Default Jeep Hood Vents

Hey guys looking at JK hood vents to lower the temps a bit, I do a fair bit of off road work. What do you guys think would be the best vent?

I installed one that I ordered from SBR just before summer. It is the 2nd of the links. So far so good, I think the temps are down a bit, as my intake to ambient temp differential is down a degree or two.

You do have to be careful when cutting, not to cut the braces, and a good 1" metal hole saw is essential.

I just wonder why they pixelated the PS logos in their pics?

For a bit more money I like the look of some of the replacement hoods. Not sure how much it costs to colour match and paint though.

I bought the one below. The tooling used was pretty rough, with several catch points on the louvered sections. I have looked at some other PS ones and they seemed fine. The stencil supplied was also out of scale. I have to wonder if these cheaper ones are even genuine?

Also check if it suits your wiper washer. Mine had the single washer, but the vent was setup for dual washers.

Ah! And the copy probably doesn't have the logo. In which case, be very careful with any template. The one I got with the genuine was perfect.
