Default Supercharger Dyno Results

Before and after results below from my recent RIPP install. About 50% increase in power and torque. Feel free to reply with your own chart if you have installed a supercharger.

2009 3.8 running 33 inch tyres with stock 3.73 diffs

Cool.... the curve shape looks about right for a RIPP blower... I'm assuming its "at the wheels" and a 4WD powertrain / tires is pretty lossy...... so flywheel is going to be more. 25% is not unusual

Non intercooled Sprintex graph is a different shape being a positive displacement blower but about the same power gain of approx 50%. @ 5PSI ( trying to compare different dyno's, unlisted correction factors, different tires etc etc.....is absolutely pointless ).

So all in all I'd say its running as designed. Enjoy.

Yup measured at the back wheels . Cheers for the comments. I'm taking it off-road for the first time tomorrow so will be interesting to see what difference it makes in low range on a soft gravel riverbed.

Hi Tycho, how much did it cost and did you do any other mods apart from the Supercharger?

Cheers, Craig

Just the supercharger this time around. All up just under NZ$13k. Still have to connect to the snorkel so will prob go with a custom airbox to offer flexibility on road/off-road. A lot cheaper and faster than a V8 conversion

I think Rick might have one or two more superchargers coming through the shop soon, he did a great job. I will need to get back to Reefton, Denniston, Lake Daniels etc now for a comparison
