It looks very good. Just a comment re safety. Iv'e seen these trombone drawbars fatigue and come apart at the "join".
I'd be very tempted to run the safety chain all the way past and onto the main drawbar. Or maybe a second safety chain that can be deployed when stretched...

Again - looks the part!

All up the cost for materials was around $1000.00. including wheels, stub axles, springs, rego etc. i used Duragal for the frame, saves getting it galvanised.

Bloke, pardon my ignorance, but why do you have the trombone draw-bar? Don't laugh, it is a genuine question.

TJPete. I made it a trombone drawbar for Hwy use (fully extended ) and off Road (shortened ) reason being, fully extended it tracks better ( no fish tailing ) and shortened, when you go over rough terrain you do not want the drawbar bottoming out on you.

Hey Gazmac trombone drawbar will be good for goin on barges and that such as the trip to fraser I was under the impresion that if u got a treg type coupling and extended drawbar it is better for offroad rather than a shorter drawbar. Doesnt matter anyhow with the power of the jeep and your welding skills u would be able to skull drag that trailer anywhere seeya at fraser get to check out the flash trailer
