Welcome to canberra. As some of the others have already stated a few good hidden tracks about the place and happy for you to join in on any trips that I go on. I usually get around with a maverick and triton for company

If your working at ADFA you should have plenty of time to go exploring. UNI holidays are a god send even with SST thrown in to eat up some of the time. In my opinion you have the perfect posting for exploring an awesome part of Aus. Not to mention being close to the slopes for winter and only an hour and a half away from the beach if you want to go for a surf.

Ps. There are some great caves out at Wee Jasper if you happen to be out there on exercises and want to do some underground exploring. I once spent a whole day in one abseiling and climbing all over the place.

Depending how much time you have there are some evening drives you can do for a small amount of fun to help with the itch. being Northside a run up mount Corey is an easy one but if after a slight bit more of a challenge corin Forrest has some more technical trails to check out. If need a guide just post up a msg with a little bit of time in advance.
