I'm not an expert but I believe that you will be reducing the braking efficiency of your vehicle, I would wager $100 that in doing so you will run foul of the ADR'S & your insurer will void your insurance as well. My 2c worth....
It will reduce the braking efficiency without a doubt, I also think an insurer would jump on it if known to save paying a claim. However people do a lot of things that if known may void a claim and they are at least staying with the factory standard brakes and have to decide if that gambles one they wish to bet on i know i wouldn't but we are all different.
