Self levelling shocks not levelling

Hi guys

Just bought a brand new set of self levelling shocks (from Murchisons) for the rear of my 2014 grand cherokee diesel but they don't seem to pump up at all.
Normally sitting at 512mm then when I put my jayco penguin outback on it drops to 465mm. This is measured AFTER driving for 10 kms.
What gives?
They also feel a little stiff over bumps.

Who fitted them? Do you have WK or WK2?

I’m assuming you didn’t have nivomats.

he stated he has a 2014 diesel so he has a wk2 and it has nivomat's from factory

Definitely Nivomats. I fitted them but it's not like you can fit them incorrectly. Are they supposed to come up to full height with maybe 150-180kg on the towball?

Sounds like they are stuffed, I drop 260Kg on mine and after 100 yds it would be back at 510mm you can hear them having a few clunks as they ramp up... They are Nivomat's by Sachs, should be on a big label and be 63mm wide.... Did you have them tied down while you fitted them ?? If not and you moved them by hand they are knackered.

Yep.........
