Off to the Daintree for the long weekend
Comfy & easy touring in the Grand
Get to the first river crossing on the Bloomfield Track
Thought to myself just select low range to be safe
Jeep had other ideas "Service 4WD System"
It'd be funny if it wasn't so annoying

Have a great Easter everyone

Did you you try pulling the fuse.

Nope. Wasn't even aware of it.
So I've just pulled fuse 25 under the bonnet
Tried to shift into 4WD
Put fuse back and wallah

Thanks Mate

Default Recalls

Interesting to read all this bullshit about N23
So I went over too Mopar recalls and plugged in my VIN
Apparently I'm due for a P73 recall which was issued May 19 2015
Funnily enough its purpose is to reprogram the final drive module
Go figure

Fortunately the last patch they came up with, sorted the service 4 X 4 problem, I had it carried out on the Commander nearly a year ago. It's still good, 4 x 4 low works every time, no more fuse removal. Yeh

I didn't realise you could check if recalls have been done on your car, just checked mine the n23 and p73 recall where never done.

Should i have these done? i use 4wd low all the time and i have never had a issue once.

Absolutely not!!

If yours has never had the N23 recall do not ever take it near a Jeep dealership if you value having 4WD Low....

If you want to know why, there's a a sticky thread at the top of this page with about 3 years worth of pain to read through!
