Good idea, they are very handy pieces of kit to have. Saves lots of mess.

Thanks for that. Just done a bit of googling and found some more info as well. According to the official Jeep Service Schedule the autobox engine oil is due for replacement after either 48 months or 64,000 miles (100,000 kilometers). Also found this part: "Change the automatic transmission fluid and filter if using your vehicle for any of the following: police, taxi, fleet, or frequent trailer towing."

This is about everyting I use for my 07 JKUR manual for a full fluids and diff inspection service. I don't know how similar the 3.6 is in terms of plug sizes. Refer to your owners manual for fluid specs and capacities.
1/2" socket set with 1/2 to 3/8 reducer for diff plugs and decent breaker bar
10mm hex head drive bit for transfer case fill and drain plugs
14mm hex head drive bit for transmission fill plug
17mm hex head drive bit cut off short to fit in 17mm ring spanner for transmission drain plug
some alluminum foil to direct trans oil away from exhaust cross over (thick stuff works best)
oil filter spanner of your preference (it is a small diameter filter)
paint scraper or shitty old butter knife to scrape off your old diff gasket
can o break cleaner
6l oil catch pan or bucket (the pans are handy for the filter holder)
funnel (always optional)
2 feet 3/8 or 1/2 hose (garden hose works good) to drain the coolant
pair of pliers for coolant drain tap
bucket for the coolant
oil filter
air filter
6ish litres of your preferred engine oil
2.5l of diff oil 1.1 in front 1.5 in rear
2 tubes rtv gasket
2l ATF4 for the transfer case
1.5l trans oil for my manual tranny
12l radiator fluid
garden hose to flush coolant system (optional but recomended)
Air compressor I use this to give the area near the fill and drain plugs an air dusting before removing them. I also sometimes blow through the coolant system after flushing with water (optional). I also use the compressor to pump my gear oil through an old mayo bottle. If you dont have a compresser dont stress would be a good to idea to get a gear oil pump though. Well there's no way I'd mess about with the little bottle nozzle things without a hoist.
Waste oil drum
Rags
6 pack possibly 2 depending on what you find after you pull your diff covers.
Also I'd recomend removing the transfer case bash plate and putting some gear oil or never seize on the bolts when replacing it. You can change the trans oil with it on but having done so for 8 years I now cant shift some of my bolts with a 6 foot extension on a 1/2 breaker bar or a rattle gun. So it pays not to be lazy with this from the get go.

Very true.
I had to remove mine when I changed out the exhaust system. Near on gave myself a hernia trying to undo those bolts.
