Yep pulled my old ones out and replaced them with new lights and retrofitted HID's. Now the things are actually worth turning on. Proper reflectors, glass lenses... cool.
Took forever to find a suitable bolt in replacement....... and the HID conversion and sealing took awhile but it needs to be done properly. I haven't seen the lamps advertised recently so am unsure as to current supply. Total cost / pair of lamps HID's connectors etc etc was under $250 - but i did all the work mself.
If you are running larger wattage incandescent lamps a relay system is required as the existing wiring can't handle the extra current draw and the electronics detect the excessive current and shut down the fogs ( actually blink them..... )
They are not driving lights but they provide EXCELLENT and VERY bright short range floodlighting - just what you need for night time offroading etc etc.
As HID's they also don't require any upgrade to the existing wiring - they just produce much more light at a low current.
The only "down side" is that you can't leave them on in normal traffic and look... ah..... wanky.
Its also important to get the sealing right if you go offroad, the stock lamps do get crap in them but are so useless that you'd barely know - lots of silicone and a vent line up under the bonnet required to keep them happy.
