I'm sitting outside the Uneek factory in Dandenong while they fit a roof rack to my 2013 JKU. . . . .

G'day Tas609, who did you find best to supply those hothead headliners?

But if swearing at mine right now as it won't start - jeep assist has been called... Engine doesn't even turn over, just the lights on the dash which dim very quickly

Uneek roof rack fitted in two and a half hours by the friendly team at Uneek. (Of course they're friendly; they just liberated over $3k from my hip pocket!)
Just drove from Dandenong to Halls Gap, mostly at 100+ kms per hour. Lots of new wind noise that I will have to fix. An almost unbearable hum starts up at 58 kph and just gets louder. The soft top flaps a bit but the Uneek tip is to use a few bits of pool noodle between the rack and the roof.
Can't estimateextra fuel used yet but yesterday I did 900 kms from Sydney to Melbourne at high speed and averaged 11.5 litres per 100 kms. Today, I averaged 11.3 for the first half and then 11.8 for the second half of trip. A tailwind to start turning to a gentle headwind. I was expecting a bigger hit but its early days.
In my unbiased opinion, the roof rack looks beautiful! 😄

Picked up a box from my local Getaway Outdoors. Now it holds my recovery gear, but previously it held 81mm high explosive mortar rounds

How much did that set you back?

In all honesty, I would look at that box as a challenge to sit at the reloading bench for a few days (and a very light wallet after) to fill it for when the zombies come / the commies invade

About $45 for the container. Wish it came with a nice big Ma Deuce to mount in the back
