My dad made this swing out carier for his 80 series landcruiser it is bloody handy little device it is held on by the tow bar hole and we have had the esky (huge esky) gas bottle, whole heap of wood, fishing rod and bucket and stuff all on it at once and it really isn't that big. also it swings out so you still have use of the tailgate and access to the drawer system he made. also we have made tow bar points on the front bullbar so that you can attach the boat trailor and easily push it into tight spots.

More on the inside sleeping...... It was more necessity than anything as I quickly fabbed it up for a camping trip to Wedge last Easter during a storm. I don't have pics at the moment as I am rebuilding my drawers. The shelf over the top of my drawers was abit higher than the rear wheel arch so with the front passenger seat fully forward I could lay with my head against the tailgate and my feet were on the head rest of the front passenger seat. My feet were raised about 100 mm. I was surprisingly comfortable and very dry. I will post pics when the drawers are finished.
