Default quadra lift and WDH setup

I daresay this has been discussed before, but I am about to head north with caravan in tow. So far have had the van on the back twice, just to take van in for servicing etc, didn't bother with WDH, car towed nicely, sat level, rode well, but I know that Jeep recommend a WDH if you are towing over 2.2 tonnes. My van is about 2.7 loaded up. So, I guess I'll use the WDH! Just wondering whether to set it up with the vehicle in parked mode , or have engine running and raise it up to ride height. Having said that, when you go over 75 kms or so, it drops to aero mode.
Is it just a case of trial and error, suck it and see?

I’m yet to tow my van (2.5 loaded), however, after reading a lot of members recommending towing in sport mode, i was thinking it would be best to also hitch up in this mode (sport mode will place the suspension in aero). I imagine that this would prevent the bars of the WDH becoming loose as the car lowered itself.

I never used a WDH towing this van with my Prado (grande model had auto leveling airbags) and am still contemplating the purchase. Most of our caravanning is for long weekends where the van is barely laden and would be ~2250kg.

I set mu WDH in Aero Mode, as I tow above 80kph. Go into Suspension Setting & Place vehicle in Wheel Alignment mode, this will make suspension go to AERO Mode , then set your hitch system up.

Cheers

Thanks. Two more questions - where do you go into the suspension settings and do you have to have the engine running all the time you are hooking up?

Ok, main Screen,
1)far right lower corner, setting & Apps Button
2) Scroll down to Suspension button
3) select Wheel Alignment mode, make sure there is a tick in the box.

Vehicle will settle to AERO Mode, Yes I did leave my engine running ... just to make sure.
4) after setup of WDH you can use same screen to go back to normal or drive vehicle above 20kph & it will clear itself.

Be aware if driving in sport mode quadralift vehicles will revert to the aero mode setting until sport mode is disengaged.

Cheers
