Default WJ vs JK wheels

Can anyone confirm 100% the backspacing of a 17" x 7.5" JK rim versus a 17" x 7.5" WJ/G rim? No guesses please!! First hand experience would be good!

Here: http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ad.php?t=86851
shows: WJ -17" X 7.5" with BS 6.25"
..JK -2008+ 17" x 7.5" with 6.25"BS = The same.

BUT, I've heard people say there's 1/4" more backspace on the JK rim and I've found other sites that say JK offset is ~50mm and WJ offset is ~40mm; that's 10mm different!

I'm buying some 265/70x17's for my WG and don't have the standard rims, so I'm shopping for rims. JK rims are pretty easy to find at a good price, but...as per my question...

Cheers,
Ruffy.

We have actually covered this a million times Ruffy yes the difference is 1/4".

WJ offset 50.8mm (2 inch)
JK offset 44.45mm (1 3/4inch)

So the JK has 6.35mm less offset than the WJ in comparable 17" rims. I think some of the older 16" WJ rims were a different width and therefore also different offset, never had anything to do with those.

Oh and yes I have used the JK rims when I had my WJ, so this is first hand experience. The Commander rims are the same as the JK too. I rant hem with a 6mm spacer so had 12mm less offset. The 6mm with 265/70's is still a bit marginal.

Thanks fester.
I'm sorry I didn't find an appropriate thread to answer the question.
Maybe an update to the 'sticky' http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...ad.php?t=86851
would be good if possible.

Thanks again mate,
Ruffy.
