You're a cruel and heartless man, Seacomms!

Seacomms -- That looks like an awesome setup! Bit jealous. Haha!

Quick question guys, just wondering if anyone knows where I can buy the center cap for the stock Jeep wheels? I plasti-dipped my rims today and unfortunately it rained when doing it (Was inside, just very high humidity) -- Long story short, I had to strip the plasti dip and because of how it was spraying on, it wouldn't just peel off easily. So I used a bit of paint stripper on the rims themselves to get the plasti dip going.

The rims are fine but sadly I didn't realize the center cap is plastic and it has melted the plastic face a bit.

So, other than paying $20 on eBay for a replacement center cap plus another $20 postage -- Anyone know anywhere I can buy another locally?

I may just end up buying new rims as the hassle of plasti-dipping them again scares me a bit, haha!

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Just joined up here. I've read through about 30 pages of this thread but can't find the answer to my question. I pick up my 2010 JKU Friday and am also picking up a factory 2" lift to fit up when I get the chance. Is there anything else I'll require to get them on? Any other parts a necessity or a good choice to compliment or make the lift better or more reliable?

PS. Nice place here.

There are so many choices that are better than the 'factory lift'. Try a quick search through other threads, there's plenty of info about lifts and tyres.

I'm currently running the AEV 2.5 XT lift on my 2 door, love it.

P.S. Welcome!

Thanks. Yes, I'm sure there are. But for $200 I'll give em a run and give me a chance to throw some spanners at the car and learn a bit about it in the process. I'm hardly a 4wd nut at present. Will be a weekend shooting rig rather than a hardcore wheeling and off road rock crawler. My vehicle for the last 8 years went down much closer to the ground not up so going to be a interesting transition to get used to body roll again.

Lieutenant is 100% on the money. Lots of people on here have rubbished the factory lift, if you want to waste your time, money, damage your spine or get divorced then go ahead and install the factory lift.

My advice is to install a lift once and do it right, it will ultimately cost you more if start experimenting.

Others have already experimented, why not take advantage of what they have learned?

If you are interested in the sub woofer swap that you PM'd me about, you can have a good look at my rig and see what I have done.

I've never read a good report on the mopar lifts.
