I typically just leave it on ch 40. They are a great radio with the added bonus of taking it out and with you when you need it.

Picked up two 1kg Megafire dry chemical powder fire extinguishers today and have stowed them on either side of the car under the back seat. I selected this style of extinguisher as it fits snugly under the seat with a thick woollen sock around them to stop them rattling etc. They are thick enough not to be able to come forward out from under the seat but can be accessed easily once the back door is opened. They can't move inboard as I have two woollen travel blankets in pouches under there as well.
I was pushed to pick up two of them due to one not being sufficient to extinguish a fire in the interior of a poor blokes VW van from an overheated inverter. Fortunately another guy had an extinguisher and finished off the job.

New tyres
After 49,000 Kms on the factory Michelins I have gone Cooper AT3s. They look great and I haven't noticed any difference in road noise, they feel just the same.
Heading for some tracks next weekend so we'll see how they feel then.

I was considering the Cooper AT/3's for my every day tyre but road noise was always a concern for me. Has anyone else have any experience they can share after they have a bit of wear on them?

IMO and this is my opinion they are shit . Probably one of the noisiest tyres . After about 5K they became so noisy after a 2K trip i pulled em straight off and went to hankoon dynapro ATM's . No contest . dynapro's are quieter and this is after 25K on them , they hold much better in the wet and are a darn sight cheaper than the coopers .
I had had some scary moments at around 100kmh with the coopers so much that i will never own another set of coopers ever .

Thanks, I have Hankook Dynapro ATM's on my 18's and would replace them with the same tyres everyday but am looking at at something for my 20's.

Yep, I'll vouch for the Hankook Dynapro ATM's on my 18's as well. Got 40,000k's on them with plenty of wear left and no noticeable change in noise.
