I had a set with my mud tyres fitted on my 04. Not sure if the backspacing has changed on the later Grands tho.

Fairly sure they won't clear the brakes on the Australian WK2.

WK Jeeps shows a 17inch option on the my14. Offset of 56.4. WG was 5o offset and std Jk offset is 45mm. So should increase track by total of 22.8 mm which is legal.
What diameter are your std rims and what clearance to brake caliper? Do the limiteds run bigger brakes?

Aus & euro Grands have bigger brakes than base U.S spec cars. 17 inch alloys won't fit over calipers from what I've seen.
Have seen 17inch steel rims that fit though , can't remember the brand though sorry.

That's right but someone did fit 17" alloys by dropping back to an offset under 19. Not exactly legal but then again neither is lifting one or increasing tyre size if your state has adopted VSB14. Calliper clearance became an issue from the WH. The JK rims only fit on the WJ without any mods at all eg spacers.

I purchased a set of near new JK rims and tyres wanting the higher profile and All Terrain tyre for my WH Grand (rather than the stock ST type) but could not use the rims as the extra material to strengthen the JK rim vs. the Grand rim contacted the front brake caliper. Clearance was not a problem on the rear. At first glance the spec for both wheels was identical but the extra material on the inside of the JK rim prevented a direct swap.
The only way to know for sure would be to find someone who would be willing to let you fit his spare.
