That's a bugger. If you know the size of it you may be able to source one through a local MB dealer or a specialist bolt store. I've sourced parts through 3 Point Mercedes at Mount Gravatt and also through Boltmasters in Morningside.

I imagine you now also have to get that bolt out? Might be worth dropping into a MB place who should have dealt with that issue previously.

And lastly, I know you've heard it before as you were part of the discussion, but it's worth flushing the trans cooler as well when you do the fluid. Last couple of pages of this thread is where that discussion took place. http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...d.php?t=152993

Thanks. PM sent.

The screws are M6x30. I've already ordered a couple. I thought long and hard about substituting Unbrako M6x30 socket head capscrews, but have stayed genuine just in case there's something special.

Hi peeps, keeping with the thread, I'm trying to sort out a WG CRD GC with a 722.6 trans that is hard shifting 1-2 and back 2-1 if I drive normally, it shifts gentle if I drive like grandad, not throwing codes, I have replaced the contact plate, filter and trans oil, also tried a known good TCM, no change. Just asking if anyone has had this and what was the cause... I have a DRB3 scantool and have tried reseting the adaptives and going through the relearn process as well, but that process is a bit confusing, but no change...cheers

I'm guessing that it's the valve body. There's a few repair kits available for curing "bump" or "flare" shifts, or you can replace the whole part.

It's the bit the conductor plate bolts to, so if you have replaced the conductor plate you know how to remove the valve body.

Really hard shifts, it might be a sprag that failed
When the F2 sprag failed on mine, the 2-3 and 3-2 shifts were horrendous...

I've heard about the 1-2 and 2-1 hard shifts before but the guy just replaced the entire transmission, so no clues there.
