2.7 Injectors Firing??

I'm having a no-start issue with my 2.7 CRD. Everything was fine till the starter motor went, replaced that, now won't start. I have replaced O-Rings in fuel lines, new fuel filter, swapped out HP and LP pumps, bled the system (no air bubbles), and it just cranks and cranks and cranks with no life. It will only fire if you squirt some ether down the inlet. I removed the injector return lines and there was fuel coming out whilst cranking, so guessing fuel is getting through. How do I tell if the injectors are firing?? What other sensors would cause the PCM to stop the injectors from firing? Just seems dead! Thanks.

Check with the wj pro app whats the pressure in the feul rail while cranking ..also check the plug for the crank sensor if its on the sensor as it sits right by the starter
