Went in and got the W52 recall done on Friday, all good went in @ 9,30 drove out @ 10.50.
Peace of mind if the reluctor happens to self disintegrate out in the bush.
Just out of Interest, I asked the question will it still throw a code if it fails and they confirmed it will, even though the Jeep is now out of warranty, but seeing how the Reluctor is a known fault and a recall has been initiated, it is covered by FCA but I have to ring Jeep Roadside first up before any repairs are carried out on my behalf and let them deal with it.

I had mine done on Friday too and also had a chat to the service manager about the update. He told me no the update does not get alternate info from the camshaft, rather it just adjust the time allowed to get info from the failing tone wheel strip. If it delaminates you are crewed still.

Thats good to know, I was under the impression it carried on regardless if the thing delaminates but instead of instant death its a slow one so still need to have a fight with Jeep to replace it ....bum...... another great Jeep stop gap fix in the hope the real problem doesn't happen very much....bluddy great.

Had the recall done a week ago, this week and I start getting "service 4WD system" up, bluedriver shows codes, U0403, U0101, U11C3.
All appear to be related to a poor connection, or loss of voltage to the transfer case control module, does anyone know if they unplug the control module when doing the recall?

I had the recall done a couple of weeks ago & nothing was disturbed under the seat around the TC control module nor did they unplug it. They just plugged into the OBD port & connected a battery charger to the terminals in the engine bay.

Cheers
