At a guess I reckon most water will evapourate by the time it has a chance to collect enough to work its way into the airbox, past the filter and up and through the box into the throttle body.

I do understand that, and I do like the shape and feel of what you guys have done a lot. Its just that those hats normally have space on the side walls for water that hits it to fall down the outside wall of the "main pipe". It rains a lot in Auckland and sometimes its very hardcore downpour. I guess building a low point in the pipeworks with a system to dispense that water collected would be nice. I'll keep exploring. I don't like the generic designs of snorks available in the market for TJs.
