Hey Tassie, a CRD sump guard would be a good start, mine has a little less oil capacity now than standard. There are heaps of petrol ones around but I haven't seen any for the CRD yet.

I second the sump guard, would love to be able to protect that, also maybe transfer cross member, don't think the poison spyder one fits CRD?

Interested..but need them in alumium...thickish. not as tough I know but weight for the CRD is an issue when combined with other common mods.

According to the Jeep parts manuals ALL the transfet case crossmembers are the same ( well the part numbers are all the same..... )

The Poison Spyder crossmember is only listed as a 4 door crossmember but it absloutely fits a 2 door as well - i can vouch for it !

Ok

Should be able to sort something. Who's close to Bayswater VIC as I will require a test mule! (I am in Hobart and it's a fair trip for 30 minutes to measure up).

A token of my gratitude to the generous person, I will give you the plates for cost..............

I am not sure about it that, the crd auto crossmember steps out on the rear side by a couple of centimeters and the auto mounts are right on the rear edge. I have not seen the petrol cross member (or the crd manual one) so I could be wrong. But from all the photos I have seen so far of the Poison Spider cross member it s a constant width from frame mount to frame mount. It this correct?

I dont know Phil.... the actual mounts for the petrol auto and manual are bolt on units that go onto the crossmember. The parts manuals i've got ( which include the CRD ) just list the one part number.

What i'd do is ring Bill at DBOR, he's got a CRD and his partner Manny has a petrol with a Poison Spyder crossmember fitted. He'l be able to have a look and tell you if there's any difference.
